Today marks the 20th anniversary of TriStar's Godzilla.
This was my second Godzilla movie after King Kong vs. Godzilla.

Does anyone know if there's a definate way to pronounce Ghidorah? I've heard it spoken as "GHI-DOOR-UH" and "GHEE-DUR-UH". Personally, I use the latter version since it's the original Japanese pronunciation from Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster, and it rolls off the tongue much easier for me, but any ideas?
I think they will fight becuase they'll, for whatever reason, see each other as a threat and their opposing views on humans. Given Godzilla's indifference towards us and how Kong is able to form connections with people, I think that will also be a factor.
I think it's possible, especially how they share the role of "a force of nature meant to maintain balance" and keep other monsters from going out of control and disturbing that balance. I bet some kind of threat will emerge and leave Godzilla and Kong no choice but to team up. I mean if they don't at least try to work together to take down the threat, they wouldn't be doing their job, would they?
How come Legendary didn't name their cinematic universe the "KaijuVerse"? Given that kaiju films involve giant monsters destroying cities, fighting the army and other monsters, it would have made more sense. Now that the Universal film universe has been generically dubbed the "Dark Universe", I think it could have used the MonsterVerse name instead since their films center around the classic Universal Monsters.
Personally, I love the tv series better than the film.
