The HeiseiMosuLarva (平成モス幼虫^?, HeiseiMosuYōchū) is the Mothra Imago puppet design used in the 1992 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Mothra, as well as the 1996 Mothra film, Rebirth of Mothra.

Name

In Godzilla vs. Mothra, the HeiseiMosuLarva's name comes from Heisei (平成^?), Mosu, from Mothra's Japanese name, Mosura (モスラ^?), and Larva, from the fact that it is a design for Mothra's Larva form.

In Rebirth of Mothra, the ReoMosuLarva's name comes from a kaiju's name, Mothra Leo (モスラレオ^?), Mosu, from Mothra's Japanese name, Mosura (モスラ^?), and Larva, from the fact that it is a design for Mothra Leo's Larva form.

Detail

Instead of being controlled by wires, this puppet used for Mothra Larva in Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle For Earth and Rebirth of Mothra is more mechanical on the inside. When Mothra Larva crawls, there are small wheels underneath the puppet. The eyes are lamps which glows sometimes. In Rebirth of Mothra, the eyes and body are lighter in color. This puppet is known as the ReoMosuLarva (レオモス幼虫^?, ReoMosuYōchū) in Rebirth of Mothra.
