Snowman (雪男?, Yuki Otoko, lit. Yeti) is a yeti kaiju created by Toho that first appears in the 1955 Toho film, Half Human.
Appearance[]
Snowman is most likely brown in color to blend in with its woodland surroundings, although this can only be speculated as his only appearance was in black and white. Snowman has an extremely muscular body and is able to lift a woman and run extremely fast without trouble. The creature has a humanoid face along with human body features, such as opposable thumbs. Snowman is significantly taller than humans, and has shaggy fur all over its body. The creature makes it home within the Japanese Alps to bare its offspring. It can be assumed that Snowman is asexual because no female was ever seen.
Origins[]
Where this creature came from and how it was created is entirely unknown, during the events of the film it is found living in the Japanese Alps by a group of hikers. Word of the creature spreads and a circus attempts to capture the creature, in the process killing its offspring. Snowman then makes his escape destroying everything in its path, wiping out an entire native village (except one female) and killing most of the hikers and some circus folk, it than kidnaps the only remaining hiker and heads for the mountains. The only surviving member of the village confronts the creature in an attempt to rescue the abducted hiker. The hiker is saved and the villager lures the beast to the edge of a volcano, in the ultimate sacrifice the villager plunges herself and the beast over the side and into the mouth of the volcano ending the Snowman's reign of terror for good.
Abilities[]
Snowman's only ability is super human strength, it can lift humans and smash down structures with ease. After its young was killed by a circus attempting to capture the creature, Snowman goes berserk and attacks everything in sight, killing many people and destroying the entire circus ground. It then kidnapped the female lead and escaped into the mountains, carrying her with one hand.
