^Homie Godzilla was an adolescent when the Rival "defeated" him

^^Behemoth had no ability’s, had already wasted it’s energey running around, the Rival likely had many other Kongs to help him, Evolved Goji was just testing out it’s powers, and all animals (Kaiju or not) have an instinct to defend there young, at any cost.

Sorry but like the movie outright showed Godzilla was not knocked out, he was dazed.

Plus unlike what Kong fans say, Kong was not holding back, Adam Wingard confirmed that in this scene that the snapped when he fought back, and even he comments that Kong lost his temper and got carried away. The movie itself shows that Kong is putting a-lot of effort in punching Godzilla, and purposely raises his arm as high as he can and aims for Godzilla's face. In the Novel it takes even longer to put Godzilla down, and still comments that Kong is using full force and is fed up, he even purposely aims for Godzilla's open Jaw.

Plus that was just Standard Evolved Godzilla, Goji here can powerup into his Supercharged State, and at this point, on-screen he bulldozes Shimo over, and the Novel even comments that Godzilla's Energy Levels and Power Levels are off the chart and are higher than anything they have ever scene. Meaning this puts Godzilla above his self that fought Ghidorah in Boston, potentially including his Burning Form.

Kong was never able to beat Godzilla at any point. In GvK, BOTH Adam Wingard and Greg Keyes confirmed that Godzilla was not knocked out by that overcharged axe blow, but was stunned, and got up only a few seconds after Kong did, and the GvK Novel even comments that this blow surpassed Godzilla's Atomic Breath, same one that at max power drilled through the Earth. So if that didn't knock him out, how is an Amped Kong punching Him gonna knock him out? The Movie didn't show him knocked out, and the novel only implies he was just stunned. Plus the fight does show a difference in their attacks. Godzilla suplexing Kong in the novel knocked the wind out of him and him struggling to see, yet Kong needed his full effort and a dozen punches to do a similar effect to Godzilla.

Plus Novel confirms Godzilla would have killed Kong (Adam Wingard also backs this up) when he started stomping on his chest and charging up his new Atomic Breath.

Kong at no point could beat Godzilla in GxK.

Yeah, like I said, he was just testing his powers.

Bit of that and he was trying to Kill Kong, and would have if not for Mothra.

Even the bloody concept art had Godzilla pretty much winning the brawl.

Kong is tough and powerful no one should deny that, but against Godzilla, in a 1v1, Kong's chances of winning are very very low.

@Yoshua Uzumaki I understand the point you make, the movie didn’t make him look like he was knocked out, in the novel though, it was said that during the Egypt battle, when Kong started hammering down on him. Kong expected Godzilla to get up but he didn’t. Kong wasn’t trying to kill him, he was just trying to prove a point. @FredzillaSTUDIOS also made a good point, Evolved Godzilla may not have fully adapted to his new form completely. At the end of the day, both of them could’ve killed each other in the Egypt battle.

If Kong tried to do anything to kill Godzilla during that time in the Novel, Godzilla would have been shocked awake and fought off Kong.

Plus anymore punches probably would have made Godzilla crash out.

Also in the novel its explained why Kong could have knocked him out (tho he was likely more stunned and dazed then full on knocked out) Kong straight up aimed his fist to Godzilla's open jaw, he pulled his fist back as far as he can and punched Godzilla's mouth. An animal or person with a loosened and/or opened jaw is easier to knockout than having their mouth shut and locked.

Can we remind ourselves that humans made the tech to have those punch’s do ANYTHING to Godzilla!?

Not too much of a surprise when the previous film had Mechagodzilla, who absolutely decimated a weakened and exhausted Godzilla, but Adam Wingard did state that if Godzilla was at fullpower, the fight would have likely gone differently and the novel also backs this up with Apex waiting for Godzilla's energy levels to be low enough for them to feel confident to Mecha-G killing him, but even than, he was designed to fight Godzilla and Adam even states in the same sentence that Mecha-G in a fight is designed to be one-step ahead of Godzilla.

So The Beast Glove doing what it did really isn't that much of a surprise.
