@User0112name Really? That was quick. I remember that they ended their partnership with Warner and going to Sony back in 2022.

Update: Nvm, just checked that they ended their deal after poor performances with their other films besides GxK.

Future of the MonsterVerse Pt. 2

So many of you have heard that Warner is in a literal rough patch and that according so experts:

Warner might be making plans to sell the company if Superman fails. I know it may just be talk, but if it does happen, then that could have implications for the future of the MonsterVerse. Obviously, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova and Monarch: Season 2 won't be affected since the movie is already in production and the season has wrapped up, but anything after that could be affected.

Theory is that Warner may be absorbed into either of the 2 largest film companies in the world: Disney or Universal.

If anything, Universal would be best suited for them since they already have Harry Potter at Universal Studios.

Anyway, what's your take on the situation?

Warner doesn't deserve to have the MonsterVerse anymore.....At this point, it looks like they are going to be all like: "Oh hey, it's making money. Let's shelve this!"

In all honesty, Universal is likely our best bet in giving the MonsterVerse rights to. Even though Legendary is with Sony, we all know who Sony is in league with....

But overall, yeah. What do you guys think?

@GodzillaLover04 Late Reply: I mean, ever since the Discovery deal, Warner was pretty much heading towards a mess of things. And clearly it would also involve the MonsterVerse. Considering how Legendary is now with Sony, they should start distributing most of Legendary's content, including future films.

@Michael the Spikester He wanted the Titans to rule the Earth instead of humanity and it seemed like he wanted to wipe out the main population. While it may seem off, it seems like he only wants those who are loyal (such as Monarch employees and their families) to the Titans in order to survive the cataclysm instead of the population that is against them.

@Michael the Spikester Yeah. Apparently, his daughters death is the reason why he hates humanity. A bunch of unknown assailants killed her and she was missing for 6 days with no one even noticing it.

Monsterverse Theory: Jonah's daughter's, Lindy, death sets up Biollante's introduction in the MV

There are some speculations on how Biollante should be introduced in the MV. But seeing how the original franchise introduced her, the MV would make it ten times darker than it already was. In the original franchise, Biollante was created by Dr. Genichiro Shiragami through the DNA of Godzilla, Rose Cells, and his deceased daughter, Erika, DNA. Which in turn created Biollante. However, in the MV, the same thing could play out, but much more darker.

We might see a flashback of Jonah's daughter, Lindy, being kidnapped and killed by unknown assailants who left her corpse rotting for six days while her father was away during the war. Considering how he is still grieving for her and still fixed on his goal for the Titans to rule the Earth, he might recreate his daughter through the splicing of Godzilla's DNA, with a rose that Lindy probably gifted Jonah with when he left for the war. This in turn will create the MV variation of Biollante.

Overall, that's just my theory on how she'll be introduced.

@GodzillaLover04 Actually, MV and Dune are still distributed by Warner until Sony starts a streaming service. In the meantime, future MV content will still be distributed by Warner.

To be honest, I liked how Warner made Mothra look strong. If it was Disney’s way, they obviously would have made her weak.
