Akira Ifukube is the brilliant musician that created the score of many of the Godzilla movies, starting with Godzilla and ending with Godzilla vs. Destroyah (with some movies done by other artists in between). After Godzilla vs. Destroyah, he never composed the scores of any of the subsequent movies, though his most famous theme, Godzilla's Theme, was used in all of the movies, and many were remixed in Godzilla: Final Wars. Sadly, the great musician passed away February 8th, 2006, leaving behind a legacy that most likely will never be matched by any ever again.
