Butterfly Bushes grow anywhere from 3-10 feet in height, and can be found in the beaches, forests, and highlands of Skull Island. Its flowers are blue/green in coloration once pollinated and matured.

Butterfly Bushes are parasitic in nature and reproduce by discharging their flowers into the wind, which carries them across Skull Island. Upon landing on a terrestrial creature, the flowers deposit a microscopic seed into the host's skin, which gradually takes control of the host's brain via filaments. After taking control, the maturing plant forces the helpless host to find a suitable habitat for the bush to take root and grow, after which the host will die.
