History
GODZILLA
A trio of F-18 Hornets, among the US military's most powerful aerial vehicles, were dispatched to destroy Zilla's nest in Madison Square Garden. Within six minutes, the nest was completely annihilated. However, the adult Zilla emerged on the city streets. Having secretly survived an earlier submarine attack, Zilla looked down in anger and sorrow at its dead offspring. Zilla, enraged, was led to the Brooklyn Bridge, where the F-18 Hornets were again summoned to destroy the monster as it was trapped in the tangling cables of the bridge. Two missiles from each craft directly at Zilla, but when it appeared as though it still wasn't defeated, the Hornets returned and each fired two more shots, finishing off Zilla. The F-18s returned to base, as Zilla fell to the road and slowly closed its eyes, dying from his injuries.
Godzilla: The Series
The F/A-18 is also a recurring military vehicle in Godzilla: The Series, alongside the AH-64 Apache, the HMMWV and the M1A2 Abrams fought many monsters.
