Template:Infobox Tech The North American F86F Sabre was a transonic jet fighter aircraft built and produced by North American Aviation. The F86F Sabre was featured in numerous Toho kaiju films in the Showa era, making its debut in the 1954 Godzilla film, Godzilla.

It was often employed as a first line of defense against various attacking kaiju by the JASDF in these films, usually proving ineffective against the monsters it fought against. It was capable of flying at speeds of mach 0.89.

History

Godzilla - Godzilla, King of the Monsters!

A squadron of F86Fs were brought out briefly as Godzilla returned to the sea for the final time, firing their rockets at him to drive him off.
