― The G-Team motto

G-Team is the military division of Monarch, comprised of member state soldiers recruited from many of the world's military forces. Monarch's military branch debuted in Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

History[]

Formation[]

Ever since Godzilla was first discovered in 1954, Monarch and the military have collaborated to create new technologies and resources to combat Titan threats.[1] Sixty years later, in the aftermath of Godzilla's battle against the MUTOs in San Francisco in 2014, the collaboration formed a group of highly-trained soldiers that specializes in conflicts involving Titans that would be known as the G-Team.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters[]

The G-Team is stationed at Castle Bravo to monitor Godzilla's activity. After Godzilla appears, they prepare their Maser Turrets until Mark Russell tells them to stand down because they would lose the fight if they engage. The G-Team is then deployed to evacuate Isla de Mara and transport the civilians to the Argo before Rodan awakens. After Ghidorah's mass awakening, the G-Team returns to Castle Bravo with Admiral Stenz and the US Military present, with Stenz announcing that Titans are attacking major cities and their forces being overwhelmed. The G-Team and the US Military team up to drive away Ghidorah and Rodan from Washington DC and the mainland to give the USS Scorpion time to revive Godzilla. The G-Team then struggles to drive away Rodan and Ghidorah, running low on ammo until the ORCA is activated, which lures the Titans to Boston. Upon arriving in Boston, Mark and the G-Team are sent to find Madison Russell before Godzilla's radiation level reaches critical mass. After running into Emma and Madison, the G-Team manages to escape the city before Godzilla unleashes his thermonuclear pulses to destroy Ghidorah. They then witness the other Titans bowing to Godzilla as they accept him as their new Alpha.
