"Gamesome" (まなつおにまつり,   Manatsu Oni Matsuri?), lit. Midsummer Monster Festival, is the second episode of Godzilla Singular Point.

Plot[]

As Mei and Haberu continue talking about the former’s research on imaginary lifeforms and alternate universes, Yun is confronted by the pterosaur while trying to help a kid. Goro, piloting Jet Jaguar, saves them and duals the pterosaur. But the pterosaur quickly gains the upper hand and rips Jet Jaguar’s right arm off and eventually removes Goro from the mech. The pterosaur chases Goro before being stopped by Jet Jaguar, now controlled by Yun. Yun then adjusts Jet Jaguar’s systems, causing it to reboot in 77 seconds. After the pterosaur was done biting on Jet Jaguar’s head, it begins roaming around the town, smashing through multiple vehicles. Yun attempts to distract it using a reach to get its attention, with Goro smashing his truck at the pterosaur’s face. Jet Jaguar, now rebooted, then pushes the monster away from the truck and is ordered by Yun to restrain it. The pterosaur then suddenly begins flying away into the sky, with Mei and Haberu catching sight of it. The pterosaur begins screeching painfully as it then dies all of a sudden and falls to the ground. Yun recognizes the screech as the signal that emitted the radio waves that caused the lights to flicker on and off back in the mansion. Haberu goes to Yun and Goro (who is sent to the hospital) as Mei gets out of the vehicle and sees the carcass of the pterosaur. The creature quickly goes through the news as they discuss its similarities to the Quetzalcoatlus, a long thought extinct pterosaur. Yun and Haberu discuss the damages on Jet Jaguar, with them also discussing new wheeled robots that are supposed to be assembled. Another Otaki Factory worker named Satomi Kanahara, who explains to them that Goro believes that the creature could be a part of the pterosaur like kaiju on a painting of a monster called Gojira (thought to be Koshira) and that they’re gonna come in a flock. Yun then reveals that the creature emitted the same electric pulse from the mansion before it died (also revealing that Jet Jaguar recorded it) and that they could use the radio waves to lure the creatures away. Yamamoto and Sato discuss about the bones and the former gives the latter keys to the documentary archive. Sato then finds a document from 1970. Meanwhile, Mei and Pelops 2 discuss the latter’s existence, with Pelops 2 explaining that it’s individuality is tied to the PC, which is why it doesn’t want to be uninstalled. Pelops 2 even tells Mei that it looked into her notes on higher dimensional lifeforms and finds them fascinating. It then asks Mei if they could publish the notes, and volunteers to organize them. Meanwhile, Yamamoto tells Sato that the pterosaur’s carcass is being bought by a museum that offered 3 billion yen. Yamamoto then tells Sato of a computer called Microfiche, and asks him to go look for it. After finding Microfiche, with Yamamoto revealing that now there’s two Pterosaur carcasses. Multiple carcasses of pterosaurs begin appearing across Japan, with them concluding that pterosaurs could still be flying around as they speak. It’s then revealed that the pterosaur’s tissue is layered and resembles the organs of lifeforms like electric eels, and they concluded that the pterosaur died of starvation due to it being reported that there was no digestive food in its stomach. They also find out that traces of Radon and radioactive elements were discovered in the tissue, giving it the name Radio Wave Monster Rodan. Meanwhile, Mei gets a response from her notes that Pelops 2 altered a bit by Professor Li Guiying, who questions if they could meet in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Sato learns about Michiyuki Ashihara, a researcher who founded Misakioku. It’s also revealed that he is an agent working for Yukie Kanoko, and he tells her about the dinosaur bones and the strange signal. Kanoko is revealed to be a part of a group called SHIVA, which Dr. Li works with. Meanwhile, Haberu reveals that he redesigned his car to Gyro Z , which has a antenna that emits the radio signal that Rodan responds to. Goro then shows up and helps them prepare. Meanwhile, a duo of fishermen try to fish in a strange Red Sea. They encounter a newly evolved Rodan that emerges from the sea. Then, a whole flock of Rodans begin coming out of the red waters and begin heading towards the mainland.
