General Gyozen is a major character and minor antagonist in the 2007 video game, Godzilla: Unleashed.

General Gyozen is among the human council on Monster Island when the Meteors strike. When the council gathers, he suggests using the Atoragon to fight the monsters, but his idea is dismissed by the rest of the council. Instead, he then commands Doctor Shiragami to experiment with G-Cells, which inadvertently results in the creation of a second Biollante. Later, he takes the Atoragon for himself, and pilots it to attack the monsters in various locations, before finally facing off against the player's monster in Osaka. He is ultimately killed after the Atoragon explodes.

Gyozen appears in the Nintendo DS version. He is the commander of the secret research center inside Monster Island. He also has a son studying at the G-Force Academy in San Francisco. He also pilots the Atoragon in Atlantis but unlike the original game, he survives and escapes to Paris. He explains to Dr. Shiragami that the monsters are a menace after they defeated the Atoragon. A sudden earthquake causes Shiragami to drop the G-Cells he was holding, thus creating Biollante. Gyozen then escapes Paris back to the Monster Island Base after Biollante is defeated (though it is not known how but presumably in a heavily damaged Atoragon). He and his son witness the monsters chosen by the player defeat SpaceGodzilla. The base then checks all areas for crystals and come up with no results after SpaceGodzilla escapes into his black hole. Then, Gyozen and his son thank the monsters for saving Earth.
