Unfortunately, Godzilla may not be the only monster-sized threat the world faces..."
Plot[]
Several hours ago, on Niijima Island, a panicked fisherman informs a maritime official who is evecuating the island that he cannot find his children. At the present time, in mainland Japan, the same fisherman interrupts a live news broadcast covering the giant monster's rampage and pleads for help in finding his children. The man watches hopelessly as the monster razes Tokyo, wondering why such a thing would be allowed to exist and take his children from him. He then finds an abandoned JSDF vehicle filled with explosives.
At the Vernadsky State Geological Museum in Moscow, Russia, a school field trip observes the Tunguska Event exhibit, filled with stones collected from the blast site. The teacher explains to the students that in 1908, a powerful explosion rocket Krasnoyarsk Krai near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River, and that it is unknown what caused the explosion though it was suspected that a meteor was involved. Before she can finish her sentence, an earthquake strikes the museum. The teacher tells the children to follow her to the exit, but one student, Mikhail, picks up a large rock from the exhibit that fell over and hides it in his backpack. Outside the building, the students and teacher witness countless crows plummet to the ground, dead.
In Sabinas, Mexico, two ranchers prepare to bring their herd of cattle back to the ranch before a storm arrives, but find all the cattle dead. Suddenly, the ground shakes and another, spiky monster erupts from underground. Meanwhile, in the ruins of Tokyo, the fisherman begins taping explosives together.
Back in Moscow, Mikhail arrives home to his mother, who is watching a news report about the Tokyo monster attack. She is skeptical of the news, and informs her son that they leave for hockey practice in ten minutes. Mikhail brings his backpack to his room and takes out the rock, excitedly believing there are diamonds inside of it. Instead, the rock breaks apart, revealing an egg, which hatches into a small, winged creature. Mikhail is excited that he has his own pet dinosaur, and hides the creature inside a shoebox before leaving for hockey practice with his mother, promising to bring it something to eat.
At a school in Mexico, three children are playing soccer but overhear what sounds like thunder. They witness the spiky monster rolling across the ground before leaping into the air and landing on the school. At the Pentagon, an advisor briefs President Ogden about the Tokyo attack, reporting that thousands are dead. Furthermore, the region's infrastructure has completely disintegrated, leaving citizens without power or water and the surrounding areas ill-equipped to handle the refugees. Odgen asks what humanitarian aid they can offer, but his advisor responds that they cannot do much because the situation is ongoing, and a second monster has appeared across the border in Mexico.
Mikhail returns to his room with a cat he intends to feed to the creature, but finds that it has grown several times in size and eaten his other pets. The monster roars before eating Mikhail and leaving the cat behind, then smashes through the ceiling and flies off into the night. President Odgen speaks to the press about the attacks, who question him as to why the military has not responded to the crisis yet. Odgen replies that using a nuclear weapon on one monster granted it the ability to breathe fire, so he is hesitant to use military force. Another member of the press asks the president about reports of another giant monster seen flying over Russia.
At the Mexican border in Texas, a reporter interviews the state governor about his new border wall designed to keep out the monster. When asked by the reporter about whether the wall is a waste of money and will be ineffective against the monsters, the governor replies that he is sure the wall will work and that he will not allow his borders to go unprotected while Ogden and the government sit idly by. Just as he says this, the spiky monster appears behind the wall and effortlessly smashes through it. As they watch the monster continue on its way, the reporter asks if the governor has anything to add, and he angrily blames Odgen for not funding his wall.
Back in Japan, the fisherman has pursued the monster to Yokohama, questioning how many lives it has destroyed in its rampage. The man stands atop a skyscraper with explosives strapped to himself and angrily yells at the monster that it took his children from him, then leaps onto its face and detonates the explosives. The monster is only slightly annoyed by the resulting explosion, and rubs its face before destroying the skyscraper with its atomic breath.
