And seriously-how many of these things can there possibly be?! Sorry, mankind... in Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters #6, the hits keep coming."
Plot[]
As Steven Woods and Allie walk along the road, Allie asks why there are so many bugs on the road. Woods investigates the bugs and sees that they are dead spiders. He tells Allie there's nothing to be afraid of, but knows that dead animals are a sign of another monster emerging. He puts Allie on his back and quickly sprints away from the area, just before Kumonga bursts from underground. President Ogden addresses the American people and announces a new effort to both combat Godzilla and stimulate the nation's struggling economy. Operation Two Birds One Stone will involve the construction of the ultimate anti-Godzilla weapon in Detroit: mechagodzilla. At the MG Development Plant in Detroit, workers hurry to complete the robot monster. At Mt. Rushmore National Park in South Dakota, Godzilla obliterates the Mt. Rushmore monument with his atomic breath, prompting a Native American onlooker to sarcastically remark that an unstoppable juggernaut destroyed a sacred monument. A news report covers the reaction to Operation Two Birds One Stone, reporting that reception to the plan has been mixed at best. The report mentions that many refugees have fled to the American south, which is yet to be attacked by any monsters. Woods, listening to the report on his radio as he sits at a campfire with Allie, turns off the radio and offers Allie some beans, which she replies she does not like. Allie points out lights in the distance, which Woods says are people on the highway. She asks if they should go with those people, but Woods says that they need to stay as far away from them as possible, because desperate people are dangerous. She asks Woods where they are going, and he says they are going anywhere the monsters are not. He shows Allie a tracking device originally designed to show where large concentrations of enemy troops are, which he is now using to track the monsters. As Allie rests her head against Woods next to the fire, eyes watch them from the forest.
In Detroit, the mayor finally unveils the completed Mechagodzilla to the public. Ogden and the operators of the machine then launch Mechagodzilla remotely from a control room in Washington, D.C. Mechagodzilla flies to South Dakota to engage Godzilla, firing a barrage of missiles at its organic counterpart. Godzilla retaliates with a blast of atomic breath that knocks Mechagodzilla out of the sky. Mechagodzilla gets back to its feet and fires its High Power Maser Beam Cannons at Godzilla, which lock with his atomic breath. Mechagodzilla charges at Godzilla through his atomic breath and tackles him. Now behind Mechagodzilla, Godzilla fires his atomic breath at the back of its head. The machine's remote stability and logic sensors are damaged, causing the team in Washington to lose control of it. Ogden says he thought Mechagodzilla was insulated against Godzilla's atomic breath, but one of the team members responds that it was only insulated in the front because a rear attack seemed unlikely. Odgen demands that the team fix it, but a technician reports that Mechagodzilla's on-board artificial intelligence and guidance are overriding all commands. Mechagodzilla then takes flight under its own power and heads to Atlanta, destroying the city with its eye-mounted Laser Cannons.
Woods and Allie find themselves surrounded by bandits. Woods tells Allie to play "peek-a-boo" and close her eyes. Woods warns the bandits that he is a trained soldier and will have to defend himself, but they do not care. Allie keeps her eyes closed as Woods beats all of the bandits unconscious.
