Plot[]
Destoroyah is seen slicing a building in half with his Variable Slicer, engaging the city's defense forces. Dr. Anders and his colleges panic because they are not equipped to handle a kaiju as strong as Destoroyah. In a last ditch attempt to protect the city, Dr. Anders activates an experimental device nicknamed the "G-Signaler" to try and lure Godzilla to their location to defend the populous from Destoroyah. After their lab is destroyed, and Cornell Matsumiya is seemingly killed, they hear something. Anguirus emerges from the water, called by the "G-Signaler" to engage Destoroyah. Dr. Anders and his college Samantha are saddened by this, because Anguirus has lost every fight he's ever been in. They're doomed, and so is Anguirus. But Anguirus engages anyway. Anguirus only reflects a single attack before being brutally beaten by Destoroyah, and shot by his Micro-Oxygen beam while he's down. Anguirus, recovering from the attack rather quickly, is then grabbed by Destoroyah's claw tail and slammed through multiple buildings Samantha and Dr. Anders fire on Destoroyah in an attempt to distract Destoroyah, but they don't keep his attention for long. But before Destoroyah can kill Anguirus, Dr. Anders activates a kaiju repelling system, stunning Destoroyah for a brief moment. And just in the nick of time, Cornel Matsumiya, who managed to survive the collapsing tower, flys in on a helicopter and bashes Destoroyah with giant Freon tanks, freezing half of Destoroyah. Anguirus, seeing the opportunity, rolls up into a ball and slams into Destoroyah and wins the battle. Destoroyah flees, and all seems quiet. But when the sun begins to set, Godzilla appears before Anguirus. The remaining defense force believe they are going to fight, but to their surprise, Godzilla has gained some respect for Anguirus. And the two engage the bigger threat, humanity.
