Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors is a 2021 five-issue comic book miniseries by IDW Publishing.

The series was announced in January 2021, and the first issue was released on April 21, 2021. The first issue features a main cover by artist Dan Schoening and a variant cover by Vic Hollins.[1] The series was developed by the creative team behind IDW's Ghostbusters, consisting of writer Erik Burnham, artist Dan Schoening, and colorist Luis Antonio Delgado, with letters by Nathan Widick.[2]
The five-issue series is compiled in a collection volume, Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - Rise Up!.
The series was succeeded by Godzilla: Monsters & Protectors - All Hail The King! in 2022.[3]

Development[]
This series was made following the multi-year publishing agreement made by IDW Publishing with Toho on the release for new Godzilla comics and young adult content. Burnham started working on the project in October 2020 as a three-page pitch, with consultation from both IDW and Toho on a story that could appeal to younger audiences and included Godzilla elements.[2]
