Godzilla: The Planet Eater is the fourth novel in the written tetralogy, following Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse, Godzilla: Project Mechagodzilla, and Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. It was released on December 22, 2018.
The Planet Eater continues on the adaptation of the 2018 Godzilla film, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle, and also acts as a novelization to the film of the same name.
Following Planet of the Monsters, the novel was written by Takahiro Okura, supervised by screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, and published by Kadokawa.
