Godzilla (ゴジラ, Gojira^?) is the name of a Japanese tokusatsu franchise (JTF) created by Toho that centers around the irradiated reptilian kaiju of the same name. It may refer to one of the following:

First Generation Godzilla - A prehistoric sea creature who emerged in 1954 and devastated the Japanese capital of Tokyo, until his death by the Oxygen Destroyer. He appeared in the 1954 film Godzilla.
Second Generation Godzilla - A prehistoric sea creature who emerged one year after the original Godzilla's death, following the footsteps of his predecessor until eventually becoming a superheroic kaiju who protects the Earth from malevolent forces. He appeared in every film of the Showa era, starting from 1955's Godzilla Raids Again to 1975's Terror of Mechagodzilla.
- Showa Minilla - An infant member of Godzilla's species who would become his adoptive son to take his mantle up. He first appeared in the 1967 film Son of Godzilla.
Hanna-Barbera Godzilla - A giant monster who aligns with humanity and comes to the Calico's aid whenever he is necessarily summoned. He first appeared in the 1978 animated TV series Godzilla.

Heisei era

Heisei Godzilla - An irradiated Godzillasaurus who emerged 30 years after the first Godzilla, single-mindedly set on completely destroying Japan and finding other living members of his kind. He appeared in every film of the Heisei era, starting from 1984's The Return of Godzilla to 1995's Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.
- Godzilla Junior - An irradiated Godzillasaurus who became Godzilla's adoptive son after he defeated Mechagodzilla and succeeded him after Godzilla melted down. He first appeared as BabyGodzilla in the 1993 film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II.
Godzilland Godzilla - A theropod-like monster who appeared in the 1992 educational series Godzilland.
Godzilla Island Godzilla - A reptilian kaiju who appeared in the 1997 TV series Godzilla Island (TV series). While not officially part of the Heisei era, the design is specifically Heisei-based.

Canceled

Ghost Godzilla - The restless spirit of the first Godzilla who was set to appear in the canceled film Godzilla vs. Ghost Godzilla.
Super-Nuked Godzilla - A continuously mutated Godzillasaurus who was set to appear in the canceled film Godzilla vs. Super-Nuked Godzilla.

Millennium series

The Millennium series features several Godzillas who either descend from, or are, the original incarnation of the kaiju. The staggered anthology format of the series explains that each of these films' continuities and, by proxy, the Godzillas within them don't overlap or contradict each other, even if they feature different origins as they're all in separate continuities.

Millennium Godzilla - A force of nature who repeatedly threatened Japan over the years. He appeared in the 1999 film Godzilla 2000: Millennium.
Megaguirus Godzilla - An alternate depiction of the original Godzilla who attacked Japan on and off since he devastated Tokyo in 1954. He appeared in the 2000 film Godzilla vs. Megaguirus.
GMK Godzilla - A supernatural entity manifested by the lost souls from the Pacific War who seeks terrible vengeance against Japan for forgetting its imperial past. He appeared in the 2001 film Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.
Kiryu Godzilla - A reptilian creature who followed the footsteps of the original Godzilla and is seemingly attracted to Kiryu during his rampages. He appeared from 2002's Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla to 2003's Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S..
Final Wars Godzilla - A prehistoric creature who was humanity's most fearsome enemy until he battled the Xiliens and their brainwashed kaiju army. He appeared in the 2004 film Godzilla: Final Wars.
- Final Wars Minilla - An infant member of Godzilla's species who became his biological son and traveled to Tokyo so he could reunite with Godzilla.

MonsterVerse

MonsterVerse Godzilla - An ancient apex predator who serves as the guardian of the natural order, maintaining environmental stability around the Earth by keeping more hostile Titans from threatening and disrupting it through intimidation or atomic superpower. He first appeared in the 2014 film Godzilla, and would appear in subsequent MonsterVerse installments ever since.

Shin Godzilla - A prehistoric sea creature who spontaneously evolved over the course of its rampage across Tokyo, as it emerged in the present day. It appeared in the 2016 film Shin Godzilla.
Godzilla Earth - A plant-based creature who evolved to become the largest and most powerful lifeform in the Earth's history, eventually establishing dominion around the planet for 20,000 years. He appeared from 2017's Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters to 2018's Godzilla: The Planet Eater.
- Godzilla Filius - A cell-divided subspecies of Godzilla Earth born during the 20,000 years the latter ruled over the Earth.
Singular Point Godzilla - An eldritch reptilian creature who emerged from a singularity, prophesized to bring about universal apocalypse when his true form is revealed. He appeared in the 2021 anime TV series Godzilla Singular Point.
Ride Godzilla - A prehistoric creature who appeared in the 2021 theater ride Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle.
GEMSTONE Godzilla - A reptilian creature who appeared from 2022's Godzilla vs. Gigan Rex to 2023's Godzilla vs. Megalon.
Chibi Godzilla - A juvenile creature who experienced the world with his friends before growing up to become a giant monster. He appeared in the children's series Chibi Godzilla.
