The trailer begins by showing the logos for both Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Before showing any footage, the theme "Requiem", from the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey begins to play.
The teaser then cuts to footage, accompanied by a recorded paraphrased monologue by Robert Oppenheimer, first showing a destroyed city block, covered in smoke, a toppled skyscraper with people standing amidst the rubble, a flattened train, and a building that's completely gutted through its midsection. The footage then cuts to an unnamed monster, laying deceased across a large expanse of land.
The teaser then cuts to black. The next shot is that of Godzilla, obscured heavily by dust and debris, turning around to let out a loud roar. The logo of the film is then shown as the teaser ends.
The logos for Warner Bros. and Legendary are presented

The trailer then cuts to the large, deceased monster.
J. Robert Oppenheimer: Vishnu takes on his multi-armed form and says...
A roar from Godzilla cuts off the narrator.
