History[]
In 2002, Kadokawa approached Toho Company Ltd. and offered to produce a Godzilla and Gamera crossover film. Toho, however, declined the offer.[1]
Trivia[]
- Godzilla and Gamera both previously battled in a live stage show in 1970.
- In June 1979, the Japanese TV Magazine included a special feature called "Godzilla vs. Gamera" comparing the two monsters and discussing who would win in a fight.[2]
