Trivia[]

  • This issue is set in the 1980s decade. As such, the story takes place during the Heisei era of the Toho film series and after the "Secret Wars" storyline from Marvel Comics.[1]
    • This is also indicated by the respective designs of the protagonists regarding the timeline of events: the Godzilla that appears in this issue being modeled after the Heisei incarnation of the character, and Spider-Man donning his black suit, the origin of the alien symbiote Venom.[1]
  • This issue reveals that the events of the previous issue, Godzilla vs. Hulk, happened in this timeline, confirming that the one-shots are set in the same universe.
