Discord is a free voice and text chat app. It is the successor to Wikia integrated chat. It can be accessed through a web browser or the Discord app which can be downloaded from their website. Help on how to use Discord can be found here. All questions or comments can be directed towards the chat moderators or an administrator.

How to Join[]

  1. Register an account. This can be done here. Afterward, make sure the email used to register the account is verified.
  2. Get Discord. You can download the Discord app here. Alternatively, you can use Discord in-browser.
  3. Connect to the official The Owl House Wiki Discord. You can find the server on the main page in our social links. Also, a link is found at the bottom of this page.
  4. After joining the server, you'll find yourself in the #rules-and-info channel. You will find the channel list on the left-hand side.

Rules[]

The main rules of the wiki apply, as well as specific ones for the app:

  1. Be kind and respectful. No hate speech, discrimination, inflammatory messages, harassment, insults, or personal attacks. As rudeness or prejudice of any kind is not allowed, do not use the Discord to instigate negative conversations about people.
  2. No NSFW content. Posting adult or explicit material is not allowed. Offensive usernames are also banned.
  3. Do not use the channel to swear or cuss. Minor swears are permitted (excluding the f-word and s-word) but try to limit it as much as possible. Slurs such as the f-word and n-word are prohibited.
  4. Please use spoiler marks over spoilers (doesn't apply to movies over a year old). For unreleased or upcoming media, use the spoil-zone
  5. Real-life topics are not allowed in #general. You can use the #real-life channel, but refrain from using it to rant, lambast real-life people, or share personal information. Unrelated such as politics and religion are also discouraged.
  6. Be sure to post content in appropriate channels. Do not post unrelated items in channels meant for a specific topic. Discussions about comics, for example, go to #comics
  7. Please do not spam or flood with low effort/repetitive posts. Posts that are only images are considered low effort and will be deleted. Reposting a message that has been deleted is also not allowed. If a message is deleted, it is done so because it breaks one of these rules.
  8. Do not ping the staff for issues such as low effort post on Gojipedia. Only ping if a troll or vandal is present.
  9. Block rules are in place: users who break any of these rules will be given three strikes, and breaking rules on the third strike will result in a block. If you are blocked on the wiki, you are also blocked here.
