The Guardian Monsters is the collective term for three mighty beasts that would arise to protect Japan from a mighty force. They appeared in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.

- In the original draft, Godzilla X Varan, Baragon and Anguirus: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack, Shusuke Kaneko originally wanted Anguirus and Varan to be the other two guardian monsters to fight Godzilla, but Toho changed it to Mothra and King Ghidorah, due to the marquee value of their names.
