Haruka Sakaki (ハルカ・サカキ^?) was the mother of Haruo Sakaki. Introduced in the 2017 prequel novel, Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse, she was presumed killed along with her husband, Akira Sakaki by Godzilla but later was revealed to have survived in Godzilla: Project Mechagodzilla.

History

Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse

While evacuating with her husband Akira Sakaki, Godzilla unleashed a blast of charged particle breath and shot nearby transporters down. The resulting crash and explosion accidentally involved several buses, resulting in Haruka being presumably killed along with Akira.

Godzilla: Project Mechagodzilla

It was later revealed Haruka and Akira Sakaki survived Godzilla's attack, but she was one of the remaining humans left stranded on Earth following the evacuations on the Oratio and Aratrum. It can be assumed she and her husband died due to the sheer scale of time passing. 

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters

While Haruka and Akira Sakaki would not be seen physically, the bus they were on was, as Godzilla's attack resulted in its destruction.

Godzilla: The Planet Eater

Haruka was seen during a hallucination where she spoke with Akira Sakaki about the nature of Haruo's name.
