The Iwi Village is a location in the MonsterVerse and first appeared in Kong: Skull Island. It was a settlement established by the Iwi to serve as their home on Skull Island.

Foundation[]
Centuries ago, the Iwi built their settlement when they first arrived at Skull Island. They also built a defensive wall around their village to keep any hostile creatures on the island from entering their village. Sometime after they were marooned on Skull Island, U.S Air Force pilot Hank Marlow and Japanese pilot Gunpei Ikari eventually found the village where they were granted sanctuary there and spent six years building the "Flying Fox" in hopes of eventually returning home again. However, Gunpei was soon killed by a Skull Crawler.
In 1973, Monarch discovered Skull Island via satellite and organized an expedition there to search for. After their encounter with Kong. The group led by Conrad eventually stumbled upon the. Just as Mason was about to take a picture, a group of Iwi ambushed them. However, Hank convinced the Iwi to lay down the weapons and grant Conrad's group asylum in the village. Once they reached the village, they stumbled upon the shipwrecked Wanderer, used by the Iwi as a mask shift shrine. There, Marlow told the group of the rivalry between the Titanus Kong species and the Skullcrawlers.
The next day, Mason bonded with the Iwi while the group was able to function the Flying Fox and finally leave to the end of the island. However, Marlow said his goodbyes to the Iwi before the group left the village.
