Appearances
Personality
Chapman was a good and noble soldier, but he couldn't help but feel sorrow for not being with his family. He had a wife and one child named "Billy", whom he loved greatly, but was sadly never reunited with them.
History
Kong: Skull Island
Chapman was an Army Major and acted as Preston Packard's right hand man during the expedition to Skull Island. During the expedition, he piloted a Sea Stallion helicopter that was brought down when Kong attacked the team's chopper squadron. Chapman himself was stranded in the western side of Skull Island as the only survivor of his crew.
While waiting for the arrival of Packard's team, he managed to fend off a Spore Mantis only to be eaten by a Skullcrawler. The Skullcrawler then later vomited up Chapman's undigested remains at the boneyard and Conrad retrieved his dog tags. Packard then found the letters that Chapman wrote to his son and instructed his men to get them to his family.
