Kai Tak Airport was the international airport of Hong Kong from 1925 until 1998.

History

Godzilla vs. Destoroyah

During the prologue, several Boeing 747s were seen at the airport. Just after one of the 747 took off, Godzilla appears in Kowloon Bay near the coast of Hong Kong after having survived the destruction of Birth Island, now covered in glowing lava-like rashes. Godzilla attacks Hong Kong on a rampage, causing major collateral damage and killing thousands of innocent civilians.
