The Kaiju (怪獣,   Strange Beast?) are a type giant creatures native to the planet Earth that appeared in Godzilla: War for Humanity.

Many Kaiju reside on Monster Island but some in other areas such as Hedorah, Gorosaurus and Manda. Additionally the mysterious fungus Kaiju Zoospora is a Kaiju native to the Earth.

Biology[]

Kaiju tend to have differing Biology depending on the species or individual. For example Godzilla and Minilla are both members of the Godzillasaurus species that have simply been irradiated through nuclear radiation or by natural means.

On the Other side of the spectrum there are Kaijus like Hedorah, Manda and Gorosaurus who are individuals in a naturally occuring superspecies found in various part of the world.

Origins[]

The Origins of the Kaiju in WFH are murky. Where each kaiju comes from, How they behave, and how they act entirely depend on that species or individual. Godzilla for example is a mutated Godzillasaurus from Monster Island and so is his son Minilla. Others like Gorosaurus and Manda are mysterious and ancient animals.

Behavior[]

Kaiju Typically behave similar to animals. Hunting, Gathering[1], Fighting, Migrating[2] etc. With a few exceptions. Godziila is both a Kaiju and a saviour of mankind. While the Malovolent Kaiju Zoospora seeks to dominate the Earth.

The Kaiju first appeared in 1954 with the King of the Monsters, Godzilla. Ever since then more and more kaiju have been appearing with the average property damage of a normal kaiju attack costing millions of dollars. In 1998, The Kaiju Hedorah appeared in Rural Japan where it was intercepted by Godzilla. The Three-day long battle only costed a fraction of a normal Kaiju disaster at 2.3 million but the pollution devastated the area for decades to come.

In the modern day Kaiju are controlled and maintained by the Anti-Monster Task force. Godzilla and his son Minilla live on Monster Island. The Kaiju Zoospora suddenly appeared and began attacking kaiju like Gorosaurus and Manda during their monitered Migration.

Capabilities[]

Kaiju Abilities typically range from kaiju to kaiju but here's a general list of them.

Physical Capabilities[]

Most Kaiju Giant and thus have incredible physical prowess capable of caused massive property damage, death and destruction. Some Kaiju like Godzilla can keep damage to a minimum.

Beam Attacks[]

Most Kaiju possess a ranged or beam attack which they can use at long range allowing them to keep a distance from their opponent.

Trivia[]

  • The Mecha M.O.G.U.E.R.A. does not count as a Kaiju in-universe but outside of the series M.O.G.U.E.R.A. is generally accepted as a Mecha Kaiju.
  • Kaiju Studies exists as a Subject within the Universe as Dr. Yuko Honda is a specialist in it.
  • Phazon Fullchech doesn't know what the word Kaiju means.[3]
