Kawasaki CH-47J Chinook

Kawasaki CH-47J Chinook is a Japanese heavy lift transport helicopter manufactured and licensed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, based on the American-built Boeing CH-47 Chinook. It first appears in the 1993 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II.

Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II[]

After G-Force developed a plan codenamed "G-Crusher" that involved luring Godzilla to the Ogasawara Islands and killing him with MechaGodzilla there, it was decided to use the infant Godzillasaurus, Baby Godzilla, as bait. Baby was placed in a container, accompanied by his surrogate mother Azusa Gojo, which was airlifted by a Kawasaki CH-47J Chinook. However, en route to the Ogasawara Islands, the chopper was intercepted by Fire Rodan, intent on recovering Baby Godzilla. Rodan destroyed the helicopter and grabbed the container before touching down in the city to try and break it open.
