Template:Character Infobox Keisuke Shimizu is one of the main protagonists in the 1974 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla.
Overview
Keisuke investigates the cave which leads to the discovery of the prophecy that drives the first part of the film. he and fellow archaeologist Saeko Kaneshiro then board a plane to Tokyo with an idol of King Caesar. they are approached on the plane by INTERPOL agent Nanbara. shortly thereafter the prophecy begins to come true. Keisuke seeks out his brother at professor Miyajima's laboratory to see if they are out of harm's way, and he witnesses the revelation that the impostor Godzilla is a remotely controlled android (technically the professor claims that Mechagodzilla is a Cyborg, but there is little to suggest that MechaGodzilla has any biological components). Keisuke and Saeko then attempt to return to Okinawa to awaken King Caesar, but a Black Hole Alien steals the Caesar Idol and tries to kill Shimizu, and nearly succeeds, but Shimizu is saved by Agent Nanbara. Nanbara and Shimizu then infiltrate the Alien base, kill the leader Kuronuma, and rescue the hostages inside.
