King Ghidorah (キングギドラ Kingu Gidora?), is a giant three-headed dragon daikaiju created by Toho in 2021 for Godzilla the Ride: Large Monster Summit Battle.
Design[]
Appearance[]
This Ghidorah is noteworthy for sharing a resemblance to GMK Ghidorah and Legendary Ghidorah. Each head has a crown of horns as well as a short snout. Ghidorah also has claws at the tips of its wings. He also has knee spikes and beaked snouts akin to Cretaceous King Ghidorah.
Personality[]
When Ghidorah first appeared in the ride, he attacks a bus full of helpless humans, showing that he is a malevolent being. He seems to showcase a level of sadism and enjoys toying with his victims as well as striking fear into them. Ghidorah also shows extreme hatred towards both Godzilla and Rodan which is presented by the fact he stops at nothing from killing them both.
History[]
In the destroyed city of Saitama, Ghidorah gave chase to some people on the bus. Ghidorah's middle head bit down on the bus, carrying it away. Ghidorah eventually got into a fight with Rodan, easily defeated the pterosaur before killing him with his gravity beams. Ghidorah continued his destruction until Godzilla arrived. Ghidorah bit down on the king of the monsters, but was soon defeated with a blast of atomic breath piercing his body. Ghidorah's middle head, however, was still alive, trying to eat the bus and the people on it. He was finally killed when Godzilla crushed the living head with his foot.
Abilities[]
Gravity beams[]
King Ghidorah can shoot a lightning-like beam from each of his heads called gravity beams. These beams were incredibly powerful, destroying part of Saitama and killing a downed Rodan.
Jaws[]
Ghidorah possessed powerful jaws. These were shown in his first encounter with Godzilla, when he bit down on the monster, visibly injuring Godzilla.
Aerial-Terrestrial Combat[]
Due to having large wings, Ghidorah has been shown to be able to fight in the air with Rodan and on the ground with Godzilla. Ghidorah seems to be much stronger in the sky, as he quickly defeated Rodan, while in his fight with Godzilla, he was at quite a disadvantage.
Speed[]
Despite his large size, King Ghidorah is quite agile, keeping up with Rodan in the sky, and running very quickly on land. He can run on land due to the talons on his wings.

- This is the first time in 20 years that King Ghidorah has appeared in a live-action Toho production, since Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.
- This is the first time Ghidorah has had talons on the tip of his wings.
- This King Ghidorah is depicted with blue blood after Godzilla stomps its head to death.
