Overview
Mantis Man (カマキリ男, Mantis) is a kaijin created by Toho that first appeared in episode 50 of 1972 tokusatsu series, Warrior of Love Rainbowman titled The Bullet That Went Insane.

Appearance
Mantis Man appears to be an insect-like humanoid cyborg wearing shades and appears to have a bird-like beak, also being dressed in a green cloak, looking similar to a scarecrow. He carries around with him two sickles that resemble insect claws.
History
Warrior of Love Rainbowman
Originally a farmer, Mantis Man was accidentally created when Mr. K shot a Borg X bullet at the farmer while he was wounded and a praying mantis was crawling on him, fusing the two. Mantis Man then followed Mr. K to his base, where he acted chiefly as a guard. Later on he was dispatched by Mr. K to go combat Rainbowman along with God Iguana, however after a brief fight, there he was defeated when Rainbowman use Sun Flash against him, destroying him.
Abilities & Weapons
Sickles
Mantis Man can use claw-shaped sickles in both of his hand to hack and slash against opponents for quick attacks.
Trivia
- Mantis Man's laughter is very similar to the Shocker Combatmen's laughs from Kamen Rider.
