Template:Infobox Monster The Megaguirus (メガギラス?) of the MegagirasuAniGoji continuity is a species of giant dragon fly-like kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse, a prequel novelization for the 2017 film, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters.
History
Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse
Along with Rodan, Megaguirus, either as a single individual or more, had been attacking and preying on refugees crossing to Siberia from Europe, more specifically within the vicinity of the Trans‐Siberian Railroad.
In 2036 or later, two refugees were saved from an attack by Megaguirus due to Exif intervention, who shielded the Earthlings from the monster with its unarmed utility space ship for immigrants.
Ability
Humanity had hypothesized that flying monsters possibly possessed the ability to control gravity due to the physical impossibility to achieve flight with their mass and weight.
Trivia
- Megaguiruses and Rodans, being natural enemies to each other, later became one of examples of basic concept of the Operation: LTF.
- The Trans‐Siberian Railroad was attacked by Mothra in the 1968 film, Destroy All Monsters.
