Mei Kamino (神野 銘,   Kamino Mei^?) is a genius graduate student and the protagonist in 2021 animated Godzilla series, Godzilla Singular Point. She is researching Red Dust and how kaiju come from another dimension, in a journey that takes her to unravel the mystery behind the Singular Points.

Etymology

• The name Mei means "inscription" (銘).
• Mei's surname Kamino means "god, deity" (神) (kami) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

• Mei Kamino is voiced by Japanese voice actress, Yume Miyamoto, who voice Rikka Takarada from SSSS.GRIDMAN.

• Mei age is never been officially confirmed in anime as Singular Point season 1 ended in 13 episodes, some fans speculated her age is between 15-16 or to 19-20 years old however since show take place in 2030 her age could be 15, however it not yet confirmed by either by toho, studio bones and studio oranges themselves until season 2 is announced.

• Mei kamino is shipped with Yuko Tani by fans as a popular crossover shipping, despite both series don’t exist in same universe in different series, both series still have Godzilla name titled for franchise.
