New Guinea

New Guinea is an island located in the southwest Pacific Ocean. It is divided into two countries, Papua New Guinea to the east and Indonesia to the west. New Guinea is featured in the 2004 Godzilla film, Godzilla: Final Wars.

After Godzilla was freed from Area G in Antarctica, he swam north to Sydney, Australia and defeated Zilla. Afterwards, he traveled to New Guinea, where the Xilien leader X released Kumonga to attack him. Kumonga doused Godzilla with thick webbing, but Godzilla grabbed hold of a strand of the giant spider's thread and swung him in the air. After spinning Kumonga by his web several times, Godzilla released the thread and sent Kumonga flying into the horizon.
