The Orga (オルガ?) of the OrugaAniGoji continuity is a giant alien kaiju created by Toho that first appeared in Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse, a prequel novelization for the 2017 film, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters, while it also made a brief appearance in the latter film as well.
Design[]
Appearance[]
This incarnation of Orga is almost identical to its predecessor in general appearance except for its glowing eyes.
History[]
Orga likely arrived on Earth somewhere in ancient period and went to sleep until its reemerge in 2022.
Godzilla: Monster Apocalypse[]
In 2022, Orga appeared in Turkey and began wreaking havoc on humanity, including areas from İzmir to Ankara. Turkey at that time was the most populated nation in the world due to the world affairs caused by monsters. While the total casualties were reported to be 1.15 million people during Planet of the Monsters, the monster attacked the largest refugee camp site in Turkey which had been disarmed completely and thus humanity couldn't resist at all. The damage report didn't include the refugees, likely putting the total casualties at much more than 10 million people.
It was said that if Orga didn't appear, or if Orga's arrival had occurred a bit later, humanity would've possibly been able to form G-Force even without the aid of the Exif and Bilusaludo.
A bio-weapon which the Russian fleet in Black Sea utilized against Orga caused mass collateral damage on refugees, but there was a report claiming that Russian fleet utilized the weapon not on Orga but on refugees to prevent flows of refugees after the corruption of the camp site.
Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters[]
In the prologue to introduce the history of kaiju appearances, Orga made a brief appearance.
Godzilla: Project Mechagodzilla[]
When a part of humanity wondered if Gorath was actually an alien monster, DNA findings of Orga was mentioned.
One Dagahra made an appearance at Izmir, a city which was also attacked by Orga in 2022.
Abilities[]
It is unclear whether or not this incarnation of Orga possesses an ability to shoot wave motion beams from its shoulder, but a growth was seen on its left shoulder, during Planet of the Monsters. Additionally, a shock wave like explosion was seen in front of the monster on its left-hand side in the same scene.
Trivia[]
- Orga's and Gigan share similar histories in this continuity.
- Mari Kaera, one of featured characters in Monster Apocalypse, was a refugee due to attacks by Megalon, and later lost her parents in İzmir due to Orga's attack.
