Osamu solves this problem by giving the chief a transistor radio and giving cigarettes to all of the islanders including the children. They are allowed to stay, but a storm rolls in and Osamu mistakes it for [[King Kong|The Islanders' mysterious deity]] and proceeds to claim that they are a foolish people for fearing lightning, until he hears Kong roar and begins to pray alongside them. Eventually, They resort to stealing from the islanders' Soma supply, but during the raid the [[Giant Octopus]] attacks the island and [[King Kong]] comes to defeat it. Kong is then seen in Osamu's company's custody and is being shipped to [[Japan]]. On the voyage, their employer Mr. Tako drops in from a helicopter to see his monster. When they are almost in Japanese waters, some naval authorities inform them that Kong is not to be brought into Japanese waters.
