Parrot Frogs are a large frog superspecies created by Legendary Pictures that first appeared in the 2024 film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
Name [ ] Parrot Frogs are named for their ability to mimic the vocalizations of other species. The creatures' name was revealed in the Monogram International bag clips line for the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire film.[1]
Design [ ] Appearance [ ] Parrot Frogs are large amphibians resembling orange frogs, featuring distinct black eyes and the presence of four dorsal fins, located on their head, back, and forelegs, reminiscent of those found on fish. These creatures also possess a set of small, sharp teeth within their mouths. When they croak, their vocal sacs turn red and inflate exponentially.
Roar [ ] Parrot Frogs can produce frog-like croaks and mimic the vocalizations of other creatures.
Personality [ ] Parrot Frogs sometimes perch on ledges and emit croaking sounds.
History [ ] During his time in the Hollow Earth , Kong , after giving up a Wart Dog he killed to a Hollow Earth lizard , heard what he thought was another of his kind and rushed to a cliff in order to find them, only to discover a lone Parrot Frog sitting on a cliff. The Parrot Frog let out another Kong-like noise before hopping off, leaving the Great Ape disappointed.
Abilities [ ] Leaping [ ] Similar to regular frogs, Parrot Frogs possess ability to jump and leap, utilizing their hind legs to propel themselves forward.
Vocalization mimicry [ ] Parrot Frogs can utilize their vocal sacs to mimic the vocalizations of other creatures, including Titans such as Kong .
