Parrot Frogs are a large frog superspecies in the MonsterVerse created by Legendary Pictures that first appeared in the 2024 film, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Name[]

Parrot Frogs are named for their frog-like appearance and ability to mimic the vocalizations of other species. The creatures' name was revealed in the Monogram International bag clips line for the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire film.[1]

Parrot Frogs are large amphibians resembling orange frogs, featuring distinct black eyes and the presence of four dorsal fins, located on their head, back, and forelegs, reminiscent of those found on fish. These creatures also possess a set of small, sharp teeth within their mouths. When they croak, their pink vocal sacs turn red and inflate exponentially.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire[]

During his time in the Hollow Earth, Kong, after giving up a Wart Dog he killed to a Hollow Earth lizard, heard what he thought was another of his kind and rushed to a cliff in order to find them, only to discover a lone Parrot Frog sitting on a cliff. The Parrot Frog made another Kong-like noise before hopping off, leaving the Great Ape disappointed.
