Overview
Plague Weavers, also known as Araneae Pestilentiae, are an arachnid superspecies created by Legendary Pictures that first appeared in the 2024 game, Kong: Survivor Instinct. Birthed from their progenitor, Abaddon, Plague Weavers are the most formidable soldiers in the Titan's army of various arachnid species.
Plague Weavers are named for their ability to weave silk web in large numbers and hostile nature. Their scientific name, Araneae Pestilentiae, is Latin for "pestilence spider", which is similar their designated name. "Araneae" is also the term for the taxonomical order of spiders.

Personality[]
Plague Weavers are large, aggressive arachnids that are loyal to their progenitor, Abaddon, and will attack humans on sight. They will sometimes lay still on walls or ceilings before jumping down to ambush their prey. Operating within a hive mind, Plague Weavers are completely subservient to Abaddon, and carry out its commands without falter.
Origins[]
The spawn of Abaddon itself. While not as imposing in size, the Plague Weavers are still larger and more dangerous than any other arachnid species known to mankind. Birthed from internal egg-sacs inside Abaddon's womb caverns, on reaching maturity they emerge through the skull-shaped "eye sockets" positioned above the Titan's head, creating the nightmarish image of Abaddon "weeping" its children into the world. Considered the most formidable soldiers in Abaddon's army, the plague weavers exhibit swift and flawless responsiveness to its commands. Monarch is presently investigating their communication methods in hope of developing a technology that could functionally be indistinguishable from telepathy.
Countless Plague Weavers are spawned by Abaddon and join their progenitor in wreaking havoc on the streets of an unidentified city in the eastern United States. David Martin encounters a number of the arachnids and manages to successfully kill some of them.
