Rodan (ラドン Radon?) is a giant pteranodon daikaiju created by Toho that appeared in Godzilla the Ride: Giant Monsters Ultimate Battle.
Design[]
Appearance[]
Rodan has roughly 2-4 horns on the tip of his head and a more rough magma-like texture, seemingly pulling inspiration from Monsterverse and Heisei as well as Millennium Rodan.
Personality[]
Rodan seems to be very aggressive towards King Ghidorah, even going as far as to kill himself in battle with the beast. As he is only seen interacting with Ghidorah for the duration of his appearance, it is unknown if he is a guardian, is aggressive to all, or even an ally of Godzilla.
History[]
Once Ghidorah started flying away with the bus, Rodan pounced, battling Ghidorah in the air. However, Rodan was easily defeated, getting slammed on the ground and disintegrated by King Ghidorah's gravity beams.

Rodan was shown to be able to fight flying enemies like King Ghidorah in the air.
Trivia[]
- This is the first time Rodan has appeared in a piece of live-action Toho media in 17 years. The last time was in Godzilla: Final Wars.
- This is also the fifth time the character has battled King Ghidorah, and is the second time Rodan has lost to him.
