Template:Tabber2Legendary Template:Infobox Monster Sekhmet, also dubbed Titanus Sekhmet, is a giant daikaiju created by Legendary Pictures that appears in Legendary's 2019 film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, as a name briefly seen on a monitor.

Name

"Sekhmet" was a warrior and healing goddess in Ancient Egyptian mythology, a solar and war deity (often another form of the goddess Hathor) depicted as a lioness whose breath was said to form deserts.

Appearance

Sekhmet's official appearance is unknown at the moment. However, based on an image showing the x-rays of multiple Titans on a large monitor, Sekhmet appears to resemble a snake, specifically a cobra, with centipede-like legs and whiskers on its head.

History

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

At some point, Sekhmet had Monarch Outpost 65 built around it in Cairo, Egypt. When Ghidorah calls all the Titans, Sekhmet breaks free and begins to hunt with its new pack, destroying a railway amongst other structures. When the ORCA calls all Titans to Boston, it is unknown if Sekhmet attempts the journey, as it does not arrive in time to see Godzilla become the new Alpha of all Titans (except for Kong).

Trivia

  • The outpost Sekhmet was contained in, Monarch Outpost 65, is a possible reference to the 1965 Toho film Invasion of Astro-Monster.
  • The train wreckage that Sekhmet leaves behind bears an exact resemblance to the train wreckage seen in the 2012 Comic-Con trailer and the official teaser trailer for Godzilla.
  • it is possible that it's supposed design could be a reused assets from the 2012 Comic-Con teaser trailer for the 2014 Godzilla film, seeing as how it bares a resemblance to the unnamed multi-legged monster.
