Admiral Taizo Tachibana (立花泰三 Tachibana Taizō?) is a father of Yuri Tachibana and a male human protagonist of Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack.

When Taizo was a small boy, the original Godzilla attacked Tokyo, Japan, in 1954. In the ensuing chaos, he was separated from his parents and never saw them ever since, for they may very well among casualties. The attack continued to haunt him ever since.
Now an admiral in J.S.D.F., Taizo and his peers were discussing anecdotal evidence of other monsters poured in from across the globe. Among them was an attack at New York City by a large, reptilian creature in 1998 where they dismissed the creature being unrelated to original Godzilla. Nevertheless, he reasoned that J.S.D.F. must always prepare for the worst.
