  • Personally I think it defeats the purpose and excitement of seeing two monsters of two completely different backgrounds, strengths, and weakness forcefully equalized.

Example: Giving Batman Superman's powers, and then pitting him against Superman

Thereby it makes the magnitude of the fight of two iconic characters less impressive, but that is my two cents for what its worth.  What do you all think of this talk of seeing Kong being G-Sized?

    • Think about it; a 104-foot tall primate going up against a 355-foot tall dinosaur. Do you really thikn the former will have even half a chance?

Hey Timeless Hero, small world afterall

As for the question I believe it depends on the setting.  If they fight on skull island Kong has the homefield advantage.  In a city with tall buildings, Kong maybe a fish out of water, but he would most assuredly uses the resources at his disposal for example (when he used the sharp rutter of the ship to fight the Mother of all Skull Crawlers).  That is added by his agility, remember the Male MUTO?  It wasn't even as big as Kong and it gave Godzilla a hard time

    • Actually at 200 feet, the male MUTO is about twice the size of Kong. Kong doesn't have to be the same height as Godzilla. He can be two-third of Godzilla's height, and he can still be agile and strong enough to take on the giant reptile.

Had to recheck on my monster facts lol, but ya you are right on both fronts

    • king kong is already very agile and fast so making him bigger would make it easier to kill godzilla.

and even if they fight in the city king kong would get more of an advantage since he can use the building as protection from godzilla atomic breath and he can use the building as weapon. but if they fight in skull island it would be easier for godzilla to hit kong with his atomic breath but the only problem if they fought in skull island they will probably team up at the end and fight the monsters in skull island.

Whats wrong with them teaming up? its cool to see the big G and K get along, True in citys Kong has a adventage and in skull island Godzilla has a advantege.

    • Would you rather have Kong be 100 ft. or 290 ft.? why 290 ft. of course!! He stands a better chance!!

    • but, making him bigger would make him slower and an even bigger target to godzilla

Good point, thats what Kong fans keep forgeting, but not as slow as Godzilla though.

    • Besides, Marlow said that even though Kong was the last one of his species, he was still growing.

I actually said on another thread that I want them to team up. And ya kinda said that wrong, bud. I think you meant in cities, Godzilla has an advantage and on Skull Island, Kong has it.

no i didn't, if you think about it, even though kong is from skull island, kong wouldn't have much of an advantage as godzilla would in skull ilsand

    • another thing that would help godzilla is that skull island have a lot of deep lake and river that godzilla  can hide/submerge in. and in the city, kong could use zilla tactics in the 1998 movie, just hide behind buildings and then, BAM, godzilla get punch from behind by kong and when godzilla turn around kong is gone.

Thats what I thought of too! Plus Kong can swing around or use building as bats to hold off Godzilla, and Godzilla has enough space to see or hear Kong and go in for the kill. he can also blast the mountins if Kong was hiding and let those flying rocks hit him.
