The Titan Hunter was an anti-Titan mecha that appeared in the 2024MonsterVerse comic Godzilla x Kong: The Hunted. Clandestinely created by the company RM Construction, the mech was designed to kill Titans and establish humanity's supremacy over the creatures.
The Titan Hunter was a massive bipedal mech that was humanoid in posture, with long jointed arms that ended in grasping hands. The wiring and hydraulics of the arms was noticeably exposed and unarmored. It further possessed long, thin legs that ended in broad flat feet. The Mech was powered by a nuclear reactor, which was placed in its center a produced a bright yellow hue. Installed atop the mech were two pincer-like horns from an unknown creature, which could effectively be used for ramming and goring attacks. A small armored cockpit sits between these two horns, where the pilot can link with the mech and take direct control of it.
History[]
Tragedy and creation[]
In the year 2014, Raymond Martin, the head of a construction company known as RM Construction, was present in San Francisco with his family when Godzilla and the MUTOs arrived in the city and begun to wreak havoc. The building that Martin and his family members were in was attacked by the massive female MUTO, resulting in the deaths of his wife, son, and parents. Left physically and mentally scarred by the attack, Martin formed an intense hatred for Titans and clandestinely ordered for his company to construct the Titan Hunter, for which he could use to hunt down and annihilate the monsters whom he had grown to despise. Until the mech's completion, Martin occupied his time by hunting "smaller" creatures such as Mother Longlegs, Leafwings, Hellhawks, and Sker Buffaloes, and kept the taxidermied corpses of the creatures kept on display within his compound on his private island.
Over a decade later, the Titan Hunter was nearing completion on Martin's private island. Wanting to properly test the mech's capabilities on a massive creature, Martin set traps throughout the Hollow Earth, with one eventually capturing an adult Spineprowler. Martin had the enormous feline transported to his island via a barge. Upon its arrival, Martin climbed into his finished mech and proceeded to brutally pummel the helpless creature in a gigantic arena at his personal compound. The Spineprowler at one point scaled the arena's walls and attempted to escape, but was seized by the tail and finally executed. Martin is pleased with the mech's performance and plans to test its abilities against even larger Titans.
A week later, the Titan Hunter is dismantled and transported in pieces to the Hollow Earth. Since Martin's company is frequently contracted by Monarch, he bribes the organization into allowing him 48 hours of free reign throughout the Hollow Earth. He arrives in the Hollow Earth and finds the Titan Hunter already assembled by his employees. Upon getting into the mech, Martin embarks on a wanton slaughter throughout the Hollow Earth, indiscriminately killing any creature he comes across. He first comes across a sleeping Warbat and grabs its tail before swinging it into a nearby boulder, killing it before it could defend itself. He then slaughters a large Sker Buffalo and has the creature's body taken away by his men to be taxidermied. He finally comes across a mother Spineprowler and her two cubs, and subsequently impales and kills the mother after a brief battle. As he prepares to squash the two cubs, Kong arrives and battles the mech. Though the Titan Hunter initially has the upper hand, Kong manages to suplex it off a cliff, causing it to explode and shatter into pieces. Martin manages to survive the explosion and climbs out of the cockpit. Before he can do anything, the same Spineprowler cubs whom he had attempted to kill earlier find and kill him, ending his rampage.
Abilities[]
Physical strength[]
Being a machine constructed entirely out of metal, the Titan Hunter possessed immense physical strength that allowed it to combat Titans. It was capable of grappling and briefly combating Titans like Kong, and was able to effortlessly kill other creatures like Spineprowlers and Warbats purely from its physical blows.
Horns[]
The Titan Hunter had two massive curved horns taken from an unknown creature that could be used to impale prey.
