Titanosaurus (チタノザウルス?) of the Legends continuity is a giant aquatic dinosaur Chitanozaurusukaiju that appeared in the IDW comic series Godzilla: Legends as the protagonist of the third issue.
Name[]
Titanosaurus is Greek for "titanic lizard", and shares its name with the real-life dinosaur genus.
Design[]
Appearance[]
Titanosaurus resembles its depiction in the film Terror of Mechagodzilla.
Roar[]
Titanosaurus's roars are written as "Grrrrrlll" and "Raaahhhh".
Personality[]
Titanosaurus does not show much personality, as most of the time he is being subconsciously directed by Travis's psychic link with him. Whenever Travis experiences emotional bursts, Titanosaurus is provoked by the unintentional psychic spikes of his powers and reacts to whatever the cause of Travis' stress is. By default, Titanosaurus is normally calm, as he stops attacking upon meeting Travis for the first time and recognizes him as his mental link.
History[]
In this issue, Titanosaurus is slumbering within the depths of the ocean floor. One day, a psychic boy named Travis is enrolled in an academy for psychics run by Miki Saegusa and the mysterious Mugal. Travis unwittingly forms a psychic link with Titanosaurus and draws the monster to civilization, where he causes major destruction. Following the source of its psychic visions, Titanosaurus finally encounters Travis at his house, but the two are then ambushed by intruders as Titanousaurus is beamed away by a Black Hole UFO.
It is later revealed that Mugal is a member of the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens, an alien race whose homeworld is dying. Mugal had intentionally manipulated Tristan to establish a link with Titanosaurus so that the Black Hole Planet 3 Aliens would be able to use Titanosaurus, along with their fleet of Mechagodzillas, to conquer Earth. Titanosaurus is last seen incarcerated in the aliens' homeworld nearby the Mechagodzilla fleet, while Travis is the nsubjected to mental manipulation by a Mugal's underlings in order to secure full control of Titanosaurus.
Abilities[]
Amphibiousness[]
Though a reptile and not an amphibian, as primarily an aquatic creature, Titanosaurus can breathe and swim very efficiently underwater. It can also adjust to travel on land just as well.
Strength and combat[]
Titanosaurus appears to have a moderate degree of strength, as it was able to ravage an entire cityscape upon making contact with the surface.
