According to Gormaru Island, we might be getting a Toho-centric shared universe centered around Godzilla and his fellow monsters. If this is the case, here is my wishlist for the series:
1. Have it take place after the '54 film (or at least mention the events of 1954).
2. Give Kaiju their own solo films, be they remakes such as Mothra, Rodan, Baragon, the Yog trio, or Varan or give origin stories for Kaiju. In fact, here's a list of Kaiju who could have their own spin-off movie:
King Caesar: Focus on how he became the guardian of the Azumi Clan.
Manda: Center around her relationship with the kingdom of Mu.
Jet Jaguar: Hey, Godzilla vs. Megalon was originally supposed to be a J.J. solo outing before Toho shoe-horned Godzilla and Gigan into it because they were afraid it wouldn't do so well. Maybe this could finally be their chance.
Gigan: Maybe use that scrapped story line from Chris Mowry and give Gigan an origin story.
3. Introduce new Kaiju in their own films: Introduce new blood into the Toho rogues gallery and have them cross paths with Godzilla down the line.
4. Give Zilla another chance: No, seriously, give him/her/it another chance. Do what Rulers of Earth did and apply that to the character because, in the right hands, Zilla can be a pretty capable Kaiju.
5. Bring in Kaiju who were scrapped or outside of the movies: Bring in Kaiju who didn't appear in the movies at all like Bagan, Balkzardan, Razin, Jyarumu, Redmoon, Erabus etc.
6. PROPERLY. MAP. IT. OUT.: Don't repeat the same mistakes as the Dark Universe did and set things up way too early. Do a good stand-alone film and THEN expand from there.
