Utsuno Ikusagami (ウツノイクサガミ^?) is a warrior god created by Toho that first appeared in the 1994 Toho film, Yamato Takeru.

History

Yamato Takeru

Lowering to the ground, in a sunburst of while light, Utsuno Ikusagami arrived. Holding the three legendary lights of Yamato, the humanoid giant contained in its massive frame the force of the universe. Orochi emerged to fight the warrior, and he began spraying his fire. Ikusagami activated his wings and brought up a shield to defend against Orochi's fire.

Orochi continued to blast the shield until it exploded. Ikusagami charged at Orochi and managed to get a hold on one of his necks. Orochi fired all of his lasers, but Ikusagami retaliated by cutting off the head he was holding. Orochi backed off, and Ikusagami drew his sword. He started to decapitate the monster's heads and left him with only three. He threw a bolt of light at Orochi and continued to blast him with his laser until the monster exploded.

Ikusagami has the ability of flight.

Force field mirrors

Ikusagami can create Force Field Mirrors (時裂空漸波).

Light Spear

Ikusagami can create a spear of light.

Light bolts

Ikusagami can hurl bolts of light (裂怒爆閃砲).

Sun bolts

Ikusagami can fire Sun Bolts (魔砕天照光) from his forehead.

Sword of Karasai

Ikusagami wields the Sword of Karasai (蛇の韓鋤剣/オロチカラサイノツルギ, Orochi no Karasai no Tsurugi^?).

Trivia

Utsuno Ikusagami is one of the heaviest being among Toho's creations comparing to size.
Thunder God Gōdo (雷神ゴード, Raijin Gōdo^?) in Super Star Fleet Sazer-X was based on Utsuno Ikusagami and possibly Daimajin of Kadokawa Daiei Studio.

The Utsuno Ikusagami was born. Holding the three legendary three lights of Yamato, the humanoid giant contained in its massive frame the force of the universe. Oorchi hissed venomously at the challenger, but was soon greeted with the fury of a thousand armies. The knight ran head on into the many heads, punching and kicking in a haze of movement. However, the Hydra retaliated with its flame. Tongues of fires swamped over the armor, doing no damage to the Utsuno Ikusagmi. The Yamato fighter retaliated in full soon after. Celestial energy from it's forehead, an imbued sword of justice, and shafts of spearing light repelled and sent the hideous life form back from the sludge it crawled out of. The Utsuno Ikusagami had fought, and prevailed against the pitch-black evil of the darkest days. The prophecy had showed that legends do come true.
