The Yamata no Orochi (八岐の大蛇,   Yamata no Orochi?, lit. Big Snake Of Eight Branches) of the MonsterVerse, also dubbed Titanus Yamata no Orochi, is a giant daikaiju created by Legendary Pictures that appears in Legendary's 2019 film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, as a name briefly seen on a monitor.

"Yamata no Orochi" is a snake or a dragon in Japanese legend that has eight heads and eight tails.

Like its namesake, Yamata no Orochi is said to have eight heads.[1]

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

At some point, Yamata no Orochi had Monarch Outpost 91 built around it in Mount Fuji, Japan. When Ghidorah calls all the Titans, Yamata no Orochi breaks free and begins to hunt with its new pack, chasing down a cruise ship in the Pacific Ocean.[2] When the ORCA calls all Titans to Boston, Yamata no Orochi does not arrive in time for the battle and does not see Godzilla become the new alpha of all Titans (except Kong).

Amphibious nature

Yamata no Orochi can chase its targets both on land and in water.
